Clay’s Corner Episode #6: Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery

We’ve all heard the saying “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” Well, if that’s the case, then our three kids flatter me to no end.

In my new Clay’s Corner, I look at the ways that Sean, Jacob, and Kayla are similar to me – good, bad, and ugly. I also suggest another loving Father that we can all look to as someone to imitate.

ONE Conference 2016: “Sorry” by A Guy and a Girl (Justin Bieber parody)

I teamed with my good friends Jesse and Kathleen Leblanc – also known as “A Guy and A Girl” to present a musical invitation to our ONE Conference 2016 happening on March 5 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

A Guy and A Girl will be the featured musicians for the day.

Their song is a parody of the Justin Bieber hit “Sorry”.

Showered With God’s Love: The Story of Joseph and Marion

On May 30, 2015, my dear friends Joseph and Marion got married and it was such a wonderful day:  the Mass at St. Paul’s was beautiful and the reception at All Saints was fun and full of love.  I was blessed to emcee the reception that evening, and as part of the program I presented the following story about Joseph and Marion:  their meeting, the courting period, their dating, and the proposal.

In the fall of 2011, the Catholic Church was preparing to embrace a new translation and new parts for the Mass. Little did Joseph and Marion know that God was preparing them to celebrate a big change via a sacrament as well…but 4 years down the road.
