Clay’s Corner Episode #14: It’s a Wedding, Not a Funeral

This past Saturday, my sister-in-law Julie Ann married Patrick in a beautiful wedding Mass at St. Paul’s Parish in Richmond, BC.

It’s just too bad I told everyone it was a funeral Mass.

In this anniversary edition of Clay’s Corner, I walk through what I was thinking – and what I wasn’t thinking – as I made the silly mistake.

Clay’s Corner Episode #13: First Impressions (27 Years Later)

Gail and I started dating 27 years ago today (on December 14, 1989) while we both students at JN Burnett Jr. Secondary School.

In this episode, we talk about our first impressions of each other. As well, see what one of us says to cause us to break out into uncontrollable laughter.

It took me about an hour to convince Gail to appear in this video with me; I’m certainly glad she did!

Clay’s Corner Episode #12: Back to School

How are you feeling heading into this school year? Excited? Nervous? Happy? Hopeful?

The return to school means something different for everyone, whether you’re a student, a teacher, or a parent (or some combo of all 3). This is a big year for our family, as Gail will be teaching Kayla in grade 4 and Jake is starting high school with his big brother Sean there to show him the ropes.

Clay’s Corner Episode #11: The Pat Down

Would you ever choose a human pat down over an automated scan?

I did just that on my way home from Calgary…and the male screener wasn’t very impressed.

After a somewhat stressful travel experience trying to make my way back to Calgary from New Jersey (in which the airlines lost my luggage), it was nice to have a more light-hearted moment on my way home to Vancouver.
