Clarifying Expectations: Gail's "List" for Me PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 23 January 2010

Here's the relatively (in)famous story of the "lists" that Gail and I made for each other a few years ago in an attempt to strengthen our marriage.

Hear how we didn't have clear expectations of each other with respect to household chores and general disposition.

Special thanks to Mike Patin, who taught me this concept of "clarifying expectations" many years ago at a youth ministry conference...thanks for letting me pass on your wisdom!

Footage is from my session at the Canadian Catholic Youth Ministry Network (CCYMN) Adult Leaders' Conference in Charlottetown, PEI on January 23, 2010.

Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 31 October 2007

We've all heard the saying "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." If that's the case, then my son Sean flatters me to no end. And there is good, there is bad, and there is ugly!
