Canucks Christmas Carols (2010 to now)

Every year for Christmas, I like to combine my love for the Canucks and my love for music.  The result: Canucks Christmas Carols!

Here’s a look at the Canucks Christmas videos we’ve done over the years.  They have a combined 70,000 views between them.

2017:  Canucks Christmas Carols Volume 2

Three years after our original Canucks Christmas Carols video, Marie and I are back with more Canucks-themed Christmas songs.

We enlist the help of broadcaster Joey Kenward and we went with an 80s theme.

2015:  Canucks Christmas Rap

We went old school with this one, combining “My Favourite Things” with RUN-DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis”.   We had a blast skating on the Rogers Arena ice and most of all, working with players Ben Hutton and Jake Virtanen.

2014:  Canucks Christmas Carols

Our 2014 video was the first time we worked directly with the Vancouver Canucks.  Needless to say, the production values were first-class and a slight improvement over my previous videos haha.

Hear new takes on old classics like Hansen the Honey Badger (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer), Radim Vrbata (Feliz Navidad), Get it Bo! (Let it Snow!), This Christmas, and Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas.

2013:  Last Christmas

Our song for 2013 was inspired by Wham!’s “Last Christmas”.  We lament the lockout of the 2012-2013 season and look at the most important elements of the team: Roberto Luongo, Ryan Kesler, the Sedins, and head coach John Tortorella.

2012:  This Christmas

With the NHL lockout, we actually didn’t have any hockey to sing about.  But we made due and came up with our version of the Donny Hathaway classic.

2011:  Under the Minneso

Heading into the Christmas break, the Canucks were just behind the Minnesota Wild in the standings.  Thus, we all got a bit of Bieber Fever as we parodied the Bieb’s “Under the Mistletoe”.

2010:  The 12 Days of Christmas

Ah yes…the video that started it all.  In this fun video, we sang about 12 things that we hoped from General Manager Mike Gillis.

Regardless of whether or not you’re a Canucks fan, we wish you a Merry Christmas!
