-I acknowledge Canada’s 10th medal: Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir won a gold medal in ice dancing and became the first North Americans to win an Olympic gold medal in ice dancing
-see footage of the first ever street hockey game at the Archdiocese of Vancouver headquarters at 150 Robson. We played a spirited game over the lunch hour with staff members and their families. It was awesome evangelization, as many people came by to take pictures, shoot video, and see what the buzz was about.
-Hear Chuck Luttrell and Archbishop Miller with commentary about my face…haha
-See footage of the Robson Street Fireworks and Light Show
-I state the obvious: Canada’s hockey game against Germany is huge…it’s do or die

-I acknowledge Canada’s 9th medal: Kristina Groves won a silver medal in the 1,500m long-track speed skating
-I debate the merits of the term “on home soil”
-After Canada’s heart-wrenching loss to the Americans, I advocate for Roberto Luongo to start the next game against Germany and every game thereafter
-I give shout-outs to a few of my American youth ministry friends: Gene and Brad of APeX Ministries, Anne Marie Cribbin, Joia Farmer, Tammy Evevard, Jackie Francois, and Judy McDonald
-I spend the afternoon with my family in Steveston and enjoy a Lumberjack Show

-I acknowledge Canada’s 8th medal in 8 days: Jon Montgomery won a gold medal in the Men’s Skeleton
-I combine footage from both February 19 and February 20
-I thank both Salt and Light TV and Catholic News Service (CNS) for recognizing my video blog on their respective websites
-I attend 2 men’s hockey games, both featuring Latvia: one against the Czech Republic, the other against Slovakia
-Kayla is on the jumbotron at one of the games!
-Sean becomes the centre of attention and mini-celebrity outside of our Catholic Hospitality Centre
-The Olympic Torch makes another appearance at our Catholic Hospitality Centre

-I acknowledge Canada’s 7th medal in 7 days: long track speed skater Christine Nesbitt won a gold medal in the ladies’ 1,000m final
-Salt and Light TV gave a shout-out to our Catholic Hospitality Centre and to my video blogs
-I take you on a detailed tour of our Catholic Hospitality Centre on our busiest day yet
-I go with my family to see women’s hockey at UBC between Russia and China

-I acknowledge Canada’s 6th medal in 6 days: short track speed skate Marianne St-Gelais won a silver mdeal in the ladies’ 500m final (on her 20th birthday!)
-I give a quick update on my first day without pop
-I take a detailed look at the Winter Olympics them song “I Believe” by Nikki Yanofsky. Although I love the song and find the intro and outtro on TV very catchy, I admit that I have no clue what the actual words are.
-I teach you, the viewer, the proper words to the refrain of the beautiful song
***Editor’s Note: I just realized that I have an error in the video…the 3rd line should end with the word “fly” and not “find”. Some teacher I am!
